Vaccination
Newborn child is usually immuned to certain diseases. This happens due to antibodies, which are transferred through the mother placenta to the child. Further a baby gets antibodies with breast milk. But such immunity is of temporal nature. Vaccination (inoculation, immunisation) – is an artificial immunity to certain diseases. Relatively safe antigens (molecules of protein) are used for this purpose. Such antigens are the constituent part of the pathogen. Measles or bacteria can cause respective effect.
Vaccination is one of the most effective measures to prevent your child from infectious disease. Post-vaccination side effects gave push to the boosting of press scandal concerning critic of vaccination. Side effects are part and parcel of some pharmaceuticals including vaccination. But the harm from vaccination side effect is much fewer than that of the infectious disease.
The vaccine acts as the real infection, provoking the reaction. The immune system fights against infection and “remembers” the pathogen. When this pathogen gets into the organism for the second time, the immune system is already prepared for this.
At the present time there are four types of vaccination:
-
Containing weakened microorganism, e.g. poliomyelitis vaccine, measles vaccine, mumps and rubella vaccine.
-
Containing crushed microorganism, e.g. whooping cough vaccine.
-
Containing anatoxin (toxin produced by bacteria or virus); e.g. diphtheria and tetanus vaccine can be considered as the anatoxins. Biosynthetic vaccines contain substances get out of genetically recombinant vaccine. They provoke immune system reaction.
E.g viral hepatitis type B vaccine, hemophilia infection.
It is very important to make sure, that your child is immunized in time.In usual practice, only healthy children are inoculated strictly according to the schedule. That is vaccination term is individually determined by the paediatrician. Medical clinic Eurolab provides the full range of vaccines.
